Gallaudet is the world's most prominent center for deaf and visual performing arts.

Award-winning alumni and other theater professionals garner national media attention for Gallaudet productions, such as the world-premiere musical "Visible Language."

In fact, alumna Miranda Medugno, '14, won a Helen Hayes Award-one of the country's most prestigious cultural awards-for her role in "Visible Language." Students and alumni have performed and directed at venues in D.C. and around the nation.

Faction of Fools is our professional company-in-residence. It recently earned a Helen Hayes Award nomination for "A Commedia Christmas Carol," and it drew the public to campus for "Dr. Faustus."

Senior theatre majors direct several full productions each year. Whether you major in theatre, audition for a few shows, or simply enjoy attending plays, you will always be able to enjoy a performance at Gallaudet.
