Rank and salary commensurate with degree, experience and qualifications. All reclassifications must be approved by the appropriate administrators. Several factors are taken into consideration before the reclassification, including demonstrated increased competencies appropriate to the next higher-level job, performing at a satisfactory level in their current position, and the department must have a genuine need for the higher level work.


Client Support Technician

Client Support Technician I (Level 4)
High school diploma or GED with two years of relevant work experience. Familiarity with various desktop and mobile platforms and software, as well as demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus, are imperative. Expected to work and show evidence of progress towards achieving relevant technician certification as determined by supervisor. Expected to work closely with level III Technicians.
 
Client Support Technician II (Level 5)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or a related field or technology-related, and some recent relevant client support work experience (high school diploma/GED with a minimum four years of relevant client support work experience will be considered). Proven experience with various desktop and mobile platforms and software, as well as demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus, are imperative. Must demonstrate progress towards relevant technician certification, as determined by supervisor, and must complete certification within a time frame indicated by supervisor. Expected to work independently.

Client Support Technician III (Level 6)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or a related field or technology-related. A minimum of two years of recent relevant client support work experience. Proven experience with various desktop and mobile platforms and software, as well as demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus, are imperative. Relevant technician certification required. Expected to work independently and to take the lead in managing specific projects as directed by supervisor.


eLearning Specialist

eLearning Specialist (Level 5)
Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum one year of experience in supporting educational technology, instructional design and/or course development for online and blended learning (paraprofessional experience will be considered). Demonstrated experience in teaching and in designing instructional materials.  Familiarity with instructional design best practices.  Knowledge of instructional software programs and their uses in learning and teaching in higher and K-12 education settings. Experience in technology training with users of varying skills. 

Senior eLearning Specialist (Level 6)
Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum three years of professional experience in supporting educational technology, instructional design and/or course development for online and blended learning. In-depth experience in teaching and in designing instructional materials.  Strong familiarity with instructional design best practices. In-depth knowledge of instructional software programs and their uses in learning and teaching in higher and K-12 education settings. Strong experience in technology training with users of varying skills. 


PeopleSoft Technical Analyst 

PeopleSoft Technical Analyst I (Level 8)

Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field. A minimum three years of IT experience with extensive familiarity with PeopleSoft functionalities, especially in student records management (experience in ERP and student administration software in a university environment will be considered). 

PeopleSoft Technical Analyst II (Level 9)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field. A minimum five years of IT experience with extensive experience with PeopleSoft functionalities, especially in student records management (experience in ERP and student administration software in a university environment will be considered). 

PeopleSoft Technical Analyst III (Level 10)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field. A minimum eight years of IT experience with extensive experience with PeopleSoft functionalities (including financial aid, student records management, human resources, student registration, and payroll) in a higher education setting. 


Systems Administrator

Systems Administrator I (Level 6)

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.  A minimum one year of professional experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining data center systems and enterprise applications.

Systems Administrator II (Level 7)

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. A minimum three years of professional experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining data center systems and enterprise applications.

Lead Systems Administrator (Level 8)
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. A minimum five years of progressive experience in designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining data center systems and enterprise applications.


Web Programmer

Web Programmer I (Level 7)
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field required. A minimum four years of professional in web programming and mobile application development (some paraprofessional experience will be considered).  

Web Programmer II (Level 8)
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field required. A minimum five years of professional experience in web programming and mobile application development. 

Web Programmer III (Level 9)
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field required. A minimum six years of professional experience in web application analysis, design, development and implementation.
